"Give Thanks" 20 x 15 1/2" watercolor by Jane Freeman
"Mi Abuelita" watercolor by Guy Magallanes
"Acorn Harvest" 8 x 10 1/2" by Pablo
I'm so pleased and honored to be joined by Jane Freeman and Guy Magallanes for this new challenge. I've been long time admires of their work and they continually inspire me. Make sure to visit their blogs and see some pretty incredible work! (just click on their names :0)
It's Acorn gathering season here in California, a staple diet of native people for centuries. So, in honor of a most traditional time, I've painted Acorns and Color.

It was so fun to do this with you and Guy!~ I love Thanksgiving and so it was wonderful to invent a painting to tell my story of thanks! Thank you Pablo!! It was an honor!
Wonderful piece, Pablo -- love this celebration of the native tradition and your colors are fab -- that rich deep burnt red is exquisite!!
I'm so glad you accepted the challenge Janie! You're painting is wonderful, so full of airy light!
Thank you Chris! You know that red is a challenge . . . at least to me!
Thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your tradition. I love your painterly acorns and hope to hear more about the harvest and the acorn festival.
Hopefully my acorns will grow into big/little trees!
Pablo you know I love your acorns!
Thank YOU Pablo - my heart is full. This challenge opened me up in many ways. I got to laugh a little, I got to cry a little and I got to fall in love with my my grandma all over again. There really is so much to be thankful for... I'm so glad you asked and I'm so glad I took you up on it!
