The dog ate my homework!

So, this is what's left of a full sheet painting after Angel, our new-ish pup decided to chew on it. They are both about 9"x13" or so, I haven't had the courage to really measure! In a way, I like them better this way but dang! that was a full sheet painting!, and I thought baby proofing days were over long ago!

She also chewed up a full sheet portrait I've been working on which will now be smaller close up. I am working hard on finishing some new paintings so stay tuned! Thanks for visiting every once in a while.

Very naughty of her, but how could you be mad at that adorable little face? She's very cute.

Thanks Dawn and Michelle, yes, I have to rethink where to storage paintings. This is the first time she even noticed my artwork.
We just love her to pieces! :0)

Really beautiful! Shame that we can't see the full thing though. Oh well. This is one of those tragic occurrences that can happen when you have a puppy in the house. lol. Hopefully the goods outweigh the bads by far.

Ah bless, yes how can you be angry at such a lovely pup?
I think maybe she could smell your hands on the paper, dogs seem to have a fascination for anything that holds the scent of your hands like gloves for instance.

children and our pets are the greatest teachers in life. Your work is so beautiful even reduced to a smaller version of itself. The image you caught of the pup after the act tugs at one's heart as much as loosing the art.

Oh, but what you have here is beautiful. Your dog knew how important the paper was to you, and that's why he wanted it too... My dog is the same way. I love the dog portrait, it's precious!

She's the perfect dog, rarely barks, is loving to everyone, is afraid of most dogs, came to us potty trained, can't figure out if she wants to play with cats or attack them, tries to catch bugs, kills spiders, sleeps on her back, and generally is a bundle of love :0)

Bad Dog!!! Beautiful paintings :) I'm so glad you could save two paintings from the full sheet.

Found you from another blogger - love your work! Lovely, fresh style. The puppy is not too shabby either!
What a cutie! I keep our four dogs OUT of my studio and the few times they are invited in they are very respectful. I did have kittens, once, who destroyed some of my work...but couldn't be mad - they were too cute and loveable. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hi Rhonda! you aren't kidding! At least I can choose to make it a dip tych (sp?) or two small paintings, not sure yet.

Welcome Karen! So glad you found me! I'm lovin' your paintings! so cool!
