My work space

It's been a very busy October but I'm still working and can't wait to show you some new paintings! (here I am painting at Canapo Gallery)

Here's some pictures of my studio. . and by that I mean the corner of the kitchen room where I work my magic :0) You might recognize my brush holders from the painting "I Scream!" Love those things! especially when they're filled with strawberry ice cream and lots of chocolate sauce!

Yup! That's an ice tray I use for my colors :0)

I love what you can do with yellow, pink and purple!

Dear Pablo,
Thank you for showing the studio and the wonderful self-supplied watercolor kits. Brilliant, your playful spirit. Keep up and make us happy.
Kind regards, Sadami

I've seen lots of things but never saw an artist use an ice tray for their paints! Seeing your work space made me smile today.

Thanks! I'm just a big kid at heart! I like keepin the "workspace" light, it helps out when watercolor decides to have a mind of it's own!

I got the idea of an ice tray from the great Jim Kosvanic, plus I liked the idea of reusing things from around the house! I'll have to show you my very "professional" paintboxes where I keep my tubes of paint! They were the idea for the name of this blog :0)

Evenin' Pablo, I happened upon your blog via Myra's and am so delighted with what I've seen. As a fledgling watercolorist myself I love to see process photos as this is how I learn. I am self-taught and hope to excel at this medium someday like yourself, Crystal Cook and Carrie Waller do. I look forward to seeing more of your blog.

Thanks for the tour of your studio Pablo! A comment by Nick Simmons sent me over here from Facebook and I am so glad I came to visit. So great to see your beautiful work. It's exquisite. Point taken about keeping the studio light... I agree... and I so want one of those ice trays LOL ... [and now icecream and chocolate sauce too thanks to you] [grin] Anyway thanks again. I've bookmarked your blog and look forward to seeing more. Best wishes Jean.
