Hummingbird

"Hummingbird"  24"x18" watercolor

This is the portrait I started at the CWA Demo last month. I finally finished it and have to say I really like the way it turned out.  Didn't I say that I'd never paint that shawl again! ? well, all I can say is that I'll never paint that shawl again! well, maybe, but one thing for sure, I'll never ever be a pointalismist, pointal-eesta, pointologist, pointalitarian, point-er,  uh, dot maker!

Painting that shawl might have been tricky but when the outcome is so lovely, you would n't mind doing it again, would you? The face is beautiful but the shawl makes it 'unique'.Congrats on this lovely work.

Thank you Arti! I love that shawl but I love who wears it more! I think I will probably paint it again in the future but not to near future.

Thanks for visiting! :0)

Beautiful, soft, sensitive portrait. Yes the shawl must have been torturous to paint but so worth it as it pull its all together.
