Just finishing the final touches

I'm really pleased with the way this one is turning out although I need to be careful not to over do it now. It's easy to overwork things isn't it? !

This is one of the first in a new series I've started called "Healers, Dreamers, Travelers" People who have that magic about them, their touch healing, their stories intriguing and their nature, spiritual.

Don't overdo it - whatever you do! This is one of the most magnificent portraits I've seen. You really captured the qualities you set out to though selecting the right subject may have brought a lot of those along in the package. I also like the composition, how you framed her face.

A great plan - to paint such souls. I'm looking forward to the next.

Beautiful and light - I can "feel" the texture of her skin!

She seems to be telling me something. I can sense her presence thousands of miles away. What a gift to be able to put that on a flat piece of paper. Just beautiful.

Yikes! Suzanne, now I don't want to post the rest of the painting, this just a part of it.

I'm excited about this series, I have two more half done and I have to say I really like them.

Thank you Sabith, Rhonda and Sandy!
Yeah, they have a way to touching you your soul.

The most difficult thing about painting is knowing when to stop!

A very nice one , Pablo!
These healers are beautiful characters to paint!
In north of Spain we have similar ones... but in the "negative" way of magic... these are called "meigas" , which is the Galician word for "witch"
These meigas make your cows to die , make love potions , akelarres ( rendezvous with the evil)...
In Spain we also have "good magic people" called "curanderos" , that heals bones and other things... but most of them are cheaters who take out your money!
Cheers! I hope to see more of this serie!

was fortunate to have found this piece on wet canvas and after several more searches to find your blog! Am one of those out there-trying to learn as fast as can without losing the artists spirit. Your work continues to be a gift that you share with many of us; thank you from the heart!
